Decoy clear coat

I did a thread search and came up blank, couldn't believe it. I know this has been asked and answered a hundred times...

But here goes....

What is the best clear coat for gunning decoys with acrylic paint?

Kevin - I regularly use Zinsser Sanding Sealer but I believe good one is flat black Rustoleum. Got that one from Grayson Chesser... Pat

I'm sorry Kevin, I miss understood. The dullcote is what I use after I am done painting, to seal the wood before I paint, I use Zinsser quick 15 clear satin finish.

Tony, and all, I am referring to after painting to protect the paint job.

Good Morning Kevin,

After the paint, then yes, Dullcote it is for me. I hit it with two coats taking extra care to really make sure the water line is done well. If you are using glass eyes, you will want to cover them before spraying on.

Ah! Sorry Kevin, missunderstood. After I apply my wash, I hit it with a light coat of Satin Deft Polyeurethene. Pat
