A little project including decoys bags by David Clark

After last season I contacted Dave about making me some decoy bags for the shelves of my Bankes. I gave Dave some measurements and he made these up. I finally got around to installing them today. Dave did a great job making these up and provided all of the mounting hardware. They installed perfectly. Dave's craftsmanship is wonderful. I had to chuck a drill bit into my Foredom to drill for the snap studs, but it worked great.

Here is what they look like up close. Dave sews them all the way to the bottom so your halibut clips or anchor lines don't slip under the partitions. They have heavy duty mesh in the bottom for drainage. I am excited about using them this season.

Brad,
Slick looking set up, bet they'll work great for you when the season rolls around!! Was that a goliath you had them made for? How many pockets on each side? Dave's craftsmanship is incredible!! Have a good season!

It is a Crusader, 19'. The bags are 8 inches by 8 inches and 22 inches deep and there are 12 on each side. Nothing like the craftsmanship of Michael and Ron Bankes and David Clark.

That looks like it will work out great, I wish I had that set up when I had my Bankes. All you have to do is drop the anchors in the bag ,feed the line in and drop the decoy on top. No winding the line up and they are ready to be deployed for the next hunt. Great idea on your part and a nice job on the bags by Dave.

That looks real nice Brad. You might even get away with leaving the decoys clipped to your longline with that set-up.

Brad that will be a pretty sweet setup! You still carving!? The season will be here before we know it...

Take care,

Zach

I think it would be more appropriately called making sawdust instead of carving, but yes I am still butchering wood when I get a chance. Travel has been intense this year.

Very nice set up, that should make setting out the the long lines a snap..!! With gunnel bags like that I would leave everything attached including my sash weights, back her up throw out the sash and let em rip
