Jason, I cut mine specifically to fit my motor (1988 15hp evinrude)in shallow drive set in the second trim hole. I still cannot get a full turn on the motor in SD but what I did keeps the prop from hitting/damaging the hull, and is enough to turn the boat in SD. As you can see from the pictures...

Anthony, Boat looks like it hides well. Do you ever hunt with a dog? Would like to know how the dog gets in and out or can see? Whats the height of you blind flaps/sides from the floor.

Steve, I cut my cockpit opening 41" 1/2 wide by 71". I built a wooden frame that could be removed, covered it with aluminum for shape, wrapped it with tape so it would release. Fiberglassed over the frame and then pulled the frame. 5 total layers, Biaxail, chopstrand, 2mm coremat, 2 more...

If you plan to hunt 2 people I would go with the larger cockpit. It does make a big difference when you open it up. I do not usually hunt with another person in the boat but I could now. I hunt with an 80lb lab and wanted to be able to sit sideways on a cut down crate and shoot over the side...

Matt/Steve this was the initial cut that I did on my SB to enlarge the cockpit.

Its rather large not sure if what it would cost to ship it. Let me check to see if there are any other options. I will PM you details
