    ATV Rack Suggestions Sought

Eric, I recently bought a used Honda ATV as well. In reseraching racks and accesories, people recommended Strong Made https://strongmade.com/strong-made-atv-utv-accessories.html?cat=175 Good luck. Posts pics when you get it figured out. Ed

Anyone hunted geese in Chestertown, MD?

I still hunt that whole part of the shore. Been doing so since the early 80s with my father. I currently do most of my hunting around Queenstown, just a few miles southwest of Chestertown. Also have a spot closer to Easton. I hope the prediction of a 2-bird limit comes true and that it is...

    Two Victories on Opening Day

Nice job Larry. I spent many an opener on those piedmont lakes and had a few similar encounters like you did. Also had a few shouting matches which were much less fun and productive. Good luck the rest of the season. Ed

    Kansas road trip

Jode, that is great. We really enjoyed hunting with Roger and still quote him, in a poor Alabama accents, all the time. Probably wont make it to KS this spring but maybe in 2021. Ed

    With a shattered heart

Steve was a good friend who I chatted with online, via e-mail and over the phone. We met once in person at the Tuckerton show where he introduced me to a group of guys, many of whom became lifelong friends. Steve's energy and humor were boundless. Watching him work the crowd at Tuckerton was...

Did you ever have a gun that just spoke to you?

Still have the 870 Magnum I got as a Christmas present in the early 80's. Like Capt. Rich, I switched to an auto when I couldn't pump very well hunting out of a sneakbox. Last year, I added some trueglo sites and made it my turkey gun. Love taking the gun afield. Ed

Bill McAdam - request for prayers

Crap. I met Bill on a hunt in Kentucky, of all places, and agree with Eric's take. Really nice guy and fun to hunt with. Ed

I lost a good friend today. duckboats.net lost a good friend today

Eric, so sorry to hear you lost such a close friend. I remember Jeff posting a lot years ago, in the early days of the DHBP. Very sad that he is gone, at such a young age. Ed

    Duck Nest Box Questions

Carl, My son just did his Eagle Project leading a team to put up a dozen wood duck boxes this spring. Some good advice was already given (Cypress, street sign posts, predator guards). Don't know anything about black belly whistling ducks but if we can be of any help, let me know. We were...

Why aren't Barnegat style sneak boxes used in North Carolina?

I used one in NC for 8 years, mostly in Piedmont reservoirs. The few times I used mine at the coast I got lots of positive feedback from other hunters. My guess is that they aren't widely used because of a healthy respect for how rough those shallow sounds can get. The lack of tradition also...

    Great White Bird Society 2016

Joe, thanks for posting that. I lived in NC for 17 years and killed several of the great white birds. Really brought back some good memories. Ed

Cool IL duck hunting video from 1919

Posted on facebook but I believe it is open to the public. Love the old boats, sxs, and live decoys. https://www.facebook.com/fishnfowl1447/videos/10204454702352922/ Ed

    Hearing Protection

I use the blast busters as well and my son wears the Howard Leights. Wearing the headphones for extended periods is uncomfortable, so I prefer the plugs. Ed
