    Canoe/kayak rack attached to garage

Steve, The barn siding looks like art work. How long has that barn been around? If you could deliver to Illinois, I would like a truck load of the stone you have at the bottom of the barn siding.

    Afternoon Black Ducks

The hybrid is a considered an "other duck" and is counted as 25 points towards your daily bag. If you are under 40 you probably don't what the hell I mean.

    Texas rigged decoys

I bought everything I needed on Amazon, 3 oz. egg weights, 400# mono and crimps. I will next pick up some 2 oz. weights and reduce my walkin rig by more than a pound. At age 67 I notice an extra pound of weight after walking 2 miles.

    Marsh Boat Question

I was going to recommend the Alumacraft Ducker. I have used it as a layout boat/blind in rice fields and it is comfortable and deadly. It is also very stable and can handle 2 guys sitting on buckets and shooting in the timber if the water is too deep for wading. But that Half-breed looks...

1963 Herters Goose & Duck Boat

I had one of these boats in the early '80's and I would run it with a Johnson 9.9. I could not get it onto plane and would keep the motor at about half throttle. I liked the boat and its heritage but it sure was heavy. I sold it in the mid-90's for $500.

    Duck club nostalgia...

Pat, How long have you been the club. I was a CPO in Cass County in the late 70's and early 80's before transferring south. I would often work in Mason County. I checked a lot of nets in your area in the spring, but I spent most duck season working between Bath and Beardstown so I doubt if we...

    Looking for new boat

I have not had any experience with Havoc boats. They look like a good product with a variety of options. I got a new boat this past winter which was custom built in Louisiana. There are a lot of boat builders in Louisiana who can provide any custom item you can think up. You can get information...

    A few found pictures

Is the flamingo used as a confidence decoy and distance marker or is that a Florida joke that I don't know about? I do like your photos and use of a kayak. I hope to someday trust my Chesapeake as a passenger in my kayak.

    Misleading names...

There is a very good restaurant in St. Louis named the Shaved Duck. I recommend the duck confit or the smoked meatloaf.

    Mack's Prairie Wings REALLY ?????

It is getting crazy. There are fewer duck hunters and the number of calls have increased beyond belief. 40 years ago the selection of calls you could buy locally in southern Illinois was probably no more than 1 or 2 models from 2 or 3 makers. If you wanted something different you could order...
