    BBSB, TRAILER, OUTBOARD--SOLD--

Most everyone that spends any time on the board has probably looked at the thread that Chris S authored while restoring his feather edge bought that was originally built in the early '50's in or around Somers Point. I bought the boat from Chris last summer and hunted the Ohio River and...

    Anyone wear float coats?

I started wearing a Mustang vest under my Columbia parka this year. It is very comfortable and adds a layer for warmth but I'm still trying to get used to shooting while wearing it. I would prefer to leave it on at all times but am struggling getting used to shouldering the gun with an added...

    Mitten Recommendations

Check out military surplus shooting mittens with the thumb and trigger finger. You can buy wool inner mittens to go with them. Sadly, no over the shoulder string attachment to keep you from orphaning them. I have found them on ebay for around $15.

    outboard question

I have always disconnected the fuel line and let the motor stall out as a safeguard against fuel varnishing in the carb even if I intend to use the boat again the next day. Is it a waste of time?? I don't know. It's an old habit for me.

    Let's try this again...

Zach, Welcome to the site and good luck this season in your new boat. I envy you. My most memorable hunts have been on Shinnecock, Peconic, Flanders. I love that area and the hunting history that goes with it.

    Budget (OK cheap) pump shotguns

Take a look at a Browning BPS Stalker. Black barrel and black composite stock that just gets uglier and uglier. I've had mine for 11-12 years and it is still very solid, tang safety and bottom eject is great for lefties. It is a pain to strip and reassemble so I don't clean it very often...
