Hello, my name is Jim Reesor from Louisville, KY. What a great web site you guys have here. Your readers rigs gave me some excellent ideas for my own gun boat and I have enclosed my pictures.

I have taken two 14ft aluminum semi–v’s and combined them into one. This rig weighs approximately 165 lbs. Without the 20hp motor. I built this rig for use in the sloughs of the Ohio as well as small reservoirs in my area. I have just recently completed the project and the boat has proved to be stable, very easy to maneuver and comfortable. Three guys can gun from this one but two and our gear would be perfect. Notice that I placed rails around the cockpit to accommodate stringers of decoys. These are simply aluminum pickup bed rails. I also installed cleats and hooks in strategic positions for my camo nets, blind material, and grass. I tried to keep it simple all my lights, spot lights and propane heaters are portable and are usable on my other boats. I plan to stay warm, dry, and invisible in this one. God help the ducks! Thanks.
