I started hunting again three years ago after about 15 years with very little hunting. One notable exception was a 10 day trip to South Dakota for pheasant, geese and hungarian partridge. I started hunting again so that I could expose my daughters to the proper way to live. I have five daughters: their ages are 13, 9, 8, 5, and 3. I took all but one hunting last year. My oldest has hunted and shot ducks, pheasant, and one deer. The 3 year old went with me the most last year. Now when she sees ducks she says "Pow pow ducks, daddy. Pow pow ducks." She really loves duck hunting. I hunt mostly out of a boat and I just keep her warm and dry.

Two years ago I didn't really know what a scull boat was. Last year I came across several people who hunt out of scull boats. This really intrigues me and I would love to try it, and hunt this way.

I've been hunting the S.F. Bay sloughs and some of the refuges in the Central Valley in California from north of Sacramento south to Mendota.

I love waterfowl hunting, especially geese - even though the geese have been hard to come by for me. Last year I shot 2 Canadas and 70 ducks. My oldest daughter shot 4 ducks (3 mallards and a scaup).

I found this site by doing a search for scull boats, and have discovered the people here to be very knowledgeable, helpful, funny, and ethical.

Good Hunting everyone!
