I been lurking for a couple of months, so I figured I needed to get legal. I've been hunting and fishing since the early '60's I guess. I grew up on the Texas Gulf coast. Hunted ducks along the marshes from Beaumont to Port Lavaca, the piney woods of East Texas and geese on the Katy and El Campo prairies. My wife and I moved to the Austin area about six years ago and had immediately got into the baby business, two boys Carson (5) and Cooper (3). Make a long story short, I haven't had much time to chase ducks until this year. It's good to be back. I just finished a pirogue project and ready to start another, maybe a KARA, or sneakboat or Devlin Poleboat...so many boats, so little time. Also will probably start carving corkers, man you guys are a bad influence. I'm hunting out of a 14' v-hull alum. jon boat currently. Anybody looking for a hunting partner in the Austin area, drop me line.
