I have been chasing ducks, deer and turkeys in central North Carolina since I was 16, which is about 25 years now. Last season I decided that I had to have a duck boat and looked into building one to save money. I quickly realized I wouldn't spend any less, but liked the idea of building my own boat. Besides, my ancestors helped settle this country in the early 1600's because they were ship builders, so I want to see if its in my genes.
This site has proven to be an incredible resource for a first-timer with no local mentor. I am very grateful for the advice of the old salts (in experience only!) and will post updates of my progress on Devlin's Black Brant III.
