Cork Decoys Needing ID

Have been collecting some decoys over my short 26 years, had opportunity recently to purchase a rig of hand carved cork decoys with white pine heads… problem is I didn’t receive too much info on who carved? The man I bought them from said a few were Herters and a few his dad carved in South Jersey, but he couldn’t remember which ones.

Could use some help in identifying these, thanks! Have 40 decoys all together.

The standing Black Ducks are made by LL Bean. Here are a couple I re-painted a few years ago:





The Canada Goose may be as well (I need a profile view). See the one LL Beans Coastal in this post:

I do not recognized the others. They sort of look like LL Bean heads placed on "bodies-of-unknown-origin".

Great thank you steve. A couple of other people have said the geese and the brant are LL Beans Coastal. 6 of the Black ducks are plastic by "Trend Decoy" company out of Florida. The Pintail pair, bluebill pair, mallards and black ducks are where I'm left scratching my head.

Condition seems to be pretty good, not sure about repainting them. They have a lot of character as is right now (plus my brush skills aren't great).

Kind of looks like original owner put herters heads on a body they or some one else had carved. Are the heads on those birds plastic?

I think i have the 3 field decoys, 6 brant, and 5 geese narrowed down to being LL Bean. The mallards/pintails/7 regular and 2 magnum black ducks/2 blue bill are all White Pine heads. On facebook, a few guys mentioned they might be Clark Madera birds
