My brother who lives just north of Scranton got over 12”. Sister in the Poconos got 20”!

Lots of guys did give up. I never did and adapted. Still had good and great seasons.

Or I should say never returned in the numbers we had from 97-2003.

It changed after hurricanes Ivan and Katrina followed by two years of drought killed back the grassbeds. Ducks stopped coming. then the winters got warmer by time the grassbeds recovered. There is tons of food now but the ducks never returned.

I drove the bayway twice. Bet I didn’t see 100 ducks. Very few blinds. Back in the late 90s there would have been thousands of ducks along the bayway by this time.

I couldn’t see distinct white patches. But the sun angle was horrible.

Was down on Mississippi Sound today doing work for my former agency. Surprisingly did not see a single redhead, scaup or buffy. But did see 3 scoters. Which I assume were white wings.

I take a look at most of them but don’t download. Always cool to see the new Resources!

Cant help with IDs but nice score!

At first I was thinking the second boat was a Hybrid but I dont think so. Might be a homemade design?

And I lost the only full color bluewing I ever shot too. It was not a good day when I opened that freezer. For many reasons.

Somewhere i have a digital image of a beautiful drake mottled duck I killed years back in Mobile. Have to dig that out. I saved it to get mounted but then it rotted when we lost power during Hurricane Ivan. :cry:

Some very cool birds. Those mexican ducks look a lot like our mottled ducks!

Sounds like we all live with the same wife..... My daughter took a liking to my mounted ducks, its the only reason they are allowed in the house, in her room!

Yep, it’s been done by past or current site members! Long time members: Who was the guy out west that had a boat like this? I think his name was Dave. Had a creek on his property he hunted. I sold him beaver traps 10+ years ago. Also, didn’t Scott Farris do this with a semi V?
