    Hurricane Milton

It is now at 180 mph. Expected to be 120-140 mph when it hits Tampa. If this forecast holds, this will be "our Katrina".

AL DCNR Hard Stance - Opinions Sought

Like noted, they may have already given the tag to someone else. I know that they are limited by USFWS on how many tags they can can give out each year. So their hands might be tied at this point.

    Hurricane Milton

This storm is simply unprecedented. From a TS to Cat 5 in less than 36 hours. Its now at 175 mph and the track has Tampa dead centered. My family has evacuated. I will be pleasantly surprised if we have a livable house Thursday morning.

Proud New Boat Owner, Lower Columbia River

I believe that all of us who have been at it for years have similar stories where we look back and say "what were we thinking" and/or "how did we make it back?".

    Life is fickle

Dave, so sorry to hear this, please accept my condolences. You are right, life is fickle, and fleeting. Makes it all the more important to keep focused on the people and things that bring you love and happiness.

From Tightline to Tempest: Trout Fishing Prior to Hurricane Helene

Very well written Larry. I will add that even little brooks became raging torrents of destruction. My daughter goes to YMCA Blue RIdge in Black Mountain every summer. The little 8' wide, 1' or less deep brook she loved to wade in turned into a 100yard wide raging torrent and flooded every...

    Historical sneakboxs

That is a really cool boat! Love to hear and see more on the inboard setup and design! How’s the draft, sitting and underway? I assume she’s a displacement hull?

    Hurricane Helene

Found out this morning that the storm surge got within 2 blocks of our house. 2’ more surge and we’d would have had water in our lowest room. Dodged a bullet. Many areas here are devastated. The images coming out of Georgia and North Carolina are mind boggling.

    Hurricane Helene

Amazingly we still have power. TS force winds steady with gusts just under hurricane. But then the eye is 120 miles to the west of us. Tampa bay has a 5’ storm surge and rising.

    Quill's turn

    Outstanding all around!

    Hurricane Helene

It’s pretty sporty here right now. Gusts close to hurricane force and sideways rain. Two huge limbs just missed our neighbors house. Power keep flickering. Just heard a transformer blow.
