Wind has really picked up here, we have steady 10-20 with steady gusts over 35 now.
A large limb just came down in my neighbors yard, blocking 1/2 the street.
Dani, most of my colleagues in Tallahassee also evacuated, I think you made a smart move.
Back in high school, I would make a mini charcoal grill out of large coffee cans to use while ice fishing.
low cost, low tech and and very effective.
:)
As of 7:30am this morning, Tampa Bay is seeing a 2-3' storm surge right now, and it climbing. We are predicted to get 5' plus.
We're also seeing steady winds about 10mph with gusts to 25mph.
Already 2" of rain since last night.
The storm is still pretty far out.
7:00Am Storm Surge Predictions...
Mice, chewed blinds, skunks and rust. This thread has it all!
I knew guys who purposely trapped skunks way back in the day, for the scent glands. They used a jab stick and euthanized them with one stick. It’s about the only sure way not to get sprayed.
Shooting one that is in a fox trap does...
He actually has around 6 or 7 videos, does a complete tear down in the end, new rings and hones the cylinders.
Amazing how pristine the inside of the crankcase looked.
Very cool and beautiful boat!!
I used to hear clapper rails in the marshes back in Alabama but never hunted them. Too much work, even at high tide we didn’t have enough water to float a boat.
Did shoot quite a few common moorhens back in the day during early teal season.
I've had best luck with Dullcote, both for decoys and model aircraft. There are a couple of other brands out there but they arent near as flat as dullcote.

Abstract
We produced DNA sequence data from two mitochondrial genes (cytochrome b and the NADH dehydrogenase subunit 2) to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationships...
The first time I ever shot a bluewing back in 1997, my first thought when I saw the bill was this sure looks like a hen shoveler!
Gadwall was a surprise to me. I was thinking more closely related to pintails. But nope. Mitochondrial DNA does not lie.
