    Happy New Years Y'all

We had a pot of wild turkey leg Brunswick stew for our New Year's Eve dinner. Sitting out here with my oldest right now hoping for him to get a deer on the last day so we will have more deer for the year. Happy new years everyone.

    Interesting Gadwall

Craig I have seen gaddies like that here on the east coast of NC, I wonder if it's an eastern shoreline genetic that is not as prevalent further west where Eric shoots them

    New Skeet gun rec?

I am the oddball and can't stand an 1100/1187. My browning silver 20ga is the best gun I've ever shot but is pricey now compared to when I bought it. Avoid pointer brand (Tristar company makes them), it's cheap for a reason. If an over and under is what you really want, I've heard good things...

    We Are Live!

Okay it seems like it adds the direct web link to my Home Screen and functions the same way but just within itself. There is no drop bar or anything like a web page. So it just makes it more ease of access.

    A rare bird indeed

My uncle is from Little Washington area, and I'm just north of Albemarle Sound. It's a pretty small world. I've never been to Cullowhee but I know of it. I've tried to convince my wife to move out west to Wyoming/Montana/Idaho but with both of us having all of our close family here within 25...

    A rare bird indeed

Congrats on a great bird, I've never roasted one but I'm sure it will be good. I like to make stews and soups out of the ones I've taken. I want to shoot one over the water sometime but have only shot them in the field and that makes a nice thud that would hurt if coming at you.

    New Site Format Thread

Eric, I've never had an issue using my iPhone with this site being non mobile friendly but could see that it would be beneficial for others that care for such things and would help recruit people. As for the video I'm one where I don't feel like messing with the hassle of uploading to YouTube...

    What's on your Workbench - OCTOBER 2023

Dave, Do those mimic specific fish or does the flashy colors attract the fish to bite? What circumstances lead you to use one color pattern over another? They look great and you have definitely shown they work well with all your fishing pictures.

What's on your workbench? August 2023

I actually have carved something to add to the workbench thread, it's been awhile since I've carved a decoy but a friend asked me to carve a blue bill and a ring neck to commemorate two of his duck dogs that have passed away. Finished up the blue bill tonight and will start paint soon, also...

    Hunting Land Access

Public opportunities are about the same, Currituck sound is still off limits unless you're in the click of hunting gangs that will invite you. Can apply for permit hunts but duck numbers just aren't here anymore. More local you just have to dodge the baited spots that no one can prove who...

    Al

Wow, this is a shock. I will miss him deeply, he was very knowledgeable on his dogs and was a great help on questions my brother and brother-in-law had on their pups. Would talk time to time about family and send him pictures of my kids growing up, such a joy to talk to and read his stories...
