Serious question for breeders, and/or owners of hunting dogs; preferably Labrador retrievers.

Thanks Kevin. I’m glad that you’re still enjoying the Momarsh Fatboy DP. I still kick myself for selling that boat. It was a beauty and I miss it. Be well.

Tom- Thank you. That was very helpful. I was concerned that having a litter might make her more susceptible to certain types of illnesses that could possibly shorten her lifespan.

Serious question for breeders, and/or owners of hunting dogs; preferably Labrador retrievers.

Thomas- Please comment on Chessies. My question is general. Basically, is it harmful to the bitch in any way to produce a single litter if you plan on getting the bitch back in the saddle right away and hunting again? Thank You.

Serious question for breeders, and/or owners of hunting dogs; preferably Labrador retrievers.

Has anyone here ever had a single litter of puppies with their hunting bitch and then put that dog back into hunting service ? If so, what are the pros and cons of doing so ? Does a single breeding change the dog's disposition or make the bitch susceptible to any health issues as opposed to...

Not what I expected for my last day of duck season

Congrats !! That's why you have to get out there as much as you can. I once shot a banded black-duck on the last day of the Long Island season about 5 years ago. It was the last time I pulled the trigger that season. You're very fortunate. Good Luck !!

A lot of Frequent Flyer Miles

Wow, I'm salivating. I haven't been able to hunt the last few seasons because of a horrific injury that I suffered requiring 4 major surgeries on my back, neck, and shoulder. I have hardware everywhere unfortunately but, I look forward to the day that I get back in the saddle. Good luck the rest...
