    Zack taylor Wigeon

I made a “layout” board that when hunting it hooks over the combing and lays at an angle so when I lay down against it I am already in a half sitting position. For traveling I put it across the side combings and the back edge. This spreads the weight out across 3 edges. No problems. I probably...

    Problem with my dog.

As a trainer I had several dogs that "inhaled" their food and at times would choke on it. To counter it I would use a large bowl, put a smaller OVERTURNED bowl inside and then put the food in around that. They still tried to inhale but they could only get smaller bits as they worked their way...

trolling motor expetrs or will this work ?

Thanks for the info so far guys. I do have oars on mine for in times of trouble. In fact, that is one of the reasons I'm thinking of going the way of my bud and trying the electric motors.Twice now I have had problems with my regular motor starting when it was time to leave and had to row back...

trolling motor expetrs or will this work ?

I have never owned a trolling motor and so am not familiar at all with their limitations/abilities. My buddy just starting using one with his ZTW BBSB and loves it over his regular motor. However, he lives on the lake and the run to his spot is very short so it is mostly used for chasing...

Northern zone WI opener- Does this spot meet concealment laws?

unfortunately I don't think your spot is legal under the new rules. The vegetation has to be emergent as I understand it. It looks to me like you have a bush or tree growing from a small island. Don't know if its still there but during the debates the DNR had pics on their site of what was and...

    lab with esophageal paralysis

Clynch, I had a dog that had it done. In fact , he got written up in the vet medical journals. It was because he was so young. Usually they see it in older dogs. The only reason we noticed it was because he did competition and on long swims he did what in horses they call "roaring" , a labored...

    E-Collar Help

CJ, If you PM me your email addy I will send you an article I have on collar conditioning. I teach using the sit, heal, here, method. As young pups you teach these things using tricks and treats. When the dog is ready for more "Formal" training you use a lead, whip stick and pinch collar. As...

    NDR glue question

Hey all, Looking for a suggestion for a glue that will hold plastic but that is heat resistant. Have an older pair of cross country skis that has the p-tex bottom starting to delaminate from the ski body. So, I need a glue to reset them. Must be able to stick to plastic but be able to take heat...

    Floatation

Another method would be to make a cheap form that is the same size/shape as the space in the bow you want to fill. Use 2 part flotation foam to fill the form. When cured, remove form. Then take the shaped foam and attach it using 3m 5200 to space in the bow you want filled. dave b

    what exactly is traditional?

Bills , The part of your post that I disagree with , and this is just my opinion, is: "but it does put in you in that theorical stage of hunting, that it is more about the hunt than the bag." I have hunted with guys that used plastic dekes, spinners, mallard machines, and other items...

    Armistice day--1940

WIs Boz, Thank you for your service. Unfortunately politicians only give lip service to our service men and women a few times a year but when the rubber meets the road, they seem to be suddenly absent. I have read stories about the armistice day storm and they never fail to amaze me. Think of...

to everyone to remember veteran's day
