My resident honkers are back an the gangs of turkeys and starting to show their stuff as well. I took these this afternoon running around the place getting burn piles going. The wood ducks down at the pond took off when I showed up, but the honkers couldn't care less as I rode by just a few years from them.
April 1st is the opener for turkey season and the Spring bear season. By then the honkers should be on eggs in their nest box and followed shortly by the wood ducks in their nest boxes.
