building cedar strip BBSB

Looking for some plans for building a cedar strip BBSB. I know a couple of people here have built them but I'm not sure if any plans are available for them. I was looking for a project my son and I could build together this winter.
Thanks for any help

There are plans in John Gardner's book Building Classic Small Craft. There are actually whole bunch of different boat plans in the book. The BBSB in the book is a 14 footer, which may be a minimum size for two people. It is intended for plywood plank construction, but would easily transfer to cedar strip. It is a displacement hull and would need to be modified, if you wanted fast outboard travel, instead of rowing capability and better seaworthyness. His book is available on Amazon.com, where I bought my copy.

I bought the mystic plans (Perrine?) and hope to build one eventually. It is a very traditional BBSB. You can get them from mystic seaport for a couple of bucks.

Thanks,
Charlie

Charlie,
I tried the mystic seaport for the plans but I'm not having any luck getting around thier web page. If you could help me any more that would be great

Hi,

I called the Mystic Seaport and spoke with somebody. They knew right away what I was looking for - I asked for the Perrine Barnegat Bay Sneak Boat.

The plans are really nice blueprint style.

Here is the info from the site:

Perrine, Samuel or Howard
[no name]
Barnegat Bay sneakbox (12')
Perrine, Samuel or Howard (designer)
1 sheet: lines, construction, offsets, (recommended for amateurs)
order no. 61.915

telephone to 860-572-5367 between 10 am and 5 pm Eastern time,

$25/sheet and this plan is one sheet

Thanks,
Charlie
