carving project

I carve a lot with hand tools from a bench vise. Being cheap I could not spend the $$$$ on a multi-position carving vise. I also wanted something portable in case I got the urge to go carve with Schupp or at my buddy Josh's house. The vise is an improvement done by my buddies Dad so a large bolt could be used. there is no chance of that one bending any.

got it set up so I won't have to set all my tools on the ground when I want to switch.

Looking great Tom. By the looks of the dust and shavings, you've been gett'n after it. I'd mount me an old tractor seat on the bench to protect the hind quarters. I've been on the move lately, so I haven't got much done on the Wigeons since my last post. I'll probably get some time on Friday morning, so maybe I'll get them done and headed your way soon.
