Christmas in the hospital

Here I sit with my 91 year old dad on Christmas day evening. Dad has pneumonia and has been here since Sunday. We were able to chat about hunting trips he and I went on, although my dad was not a duck hunter, pheasants and quail were his game along with his setter Toby. Believe it or not today was a wonderful Christmas, being able to still have my dad with us being able to talk hunting is better than any material present one could have. Merry Christmas to all.

I wish your father well, Tom. Glad you can still have those conversations about hunting that you two have. That makes you the lucky one.

I want to thank all of the DB members for your prayers and genuine concern for my dad. He is showing improvement , although slower than expected. It truly is amazing the brotherhood that duck hunters have. Again thanks to all and god bless. Sincerely , Tom Hickman
