Couple jigs I came up with for boat building

Here are two ideas I came up with building my new boat. For you guys that have built a few, you probably have already used something like them, but for the newer guys, I thought it was worth posting.

Here is the first one, while trying to open the boat, I was struggling to hold the pieces open at the correct angle. Little background, I am building this boat of my own design, sort of. So I didn't have the bulkheads cut out and ready to slide in, I had to measure the hull width and the angle to figure them out.

Given the new boat's size, I had trouble holding the bow together, in fact the first wire I used snapped under the pressure. The thicker wire held together, but I couldn't get the pieces as tight as I wanted. So I made this jig. I had seen these in a woodworking catalog or store at some time, but didn't see a need at the time. Now I had the need, but couldn't find them, so out came the welder.

I then drilled two 1/2" holes in the bow and inserted the pegs. Pulling the pieces together took more than I thought, ended up using a pipe wrench for some leverage, but got them tight. New epoxed the stem in.
