This pair of mint condition Marty Hanson Teal are being raffled by the Illinois Prairie Chapter of Delta Waterfowl to promote research and local waterfowl conservation projects. This brace of gunning decoys were obtained directly from Marty in 1989 for use in a personal gunning rig but were never floated. These cedar decoys are in oil paint with the original rigging and carry the carver?s stamp.
Marty is a very popular contemporary carver from Minnesota. Examples of his other work can be seen at www.hansondecoys.com.
Tickets are $20 each or 6 for $100 and maybe purchased either by contacting Tim Speight of the Illinois Prairie Chapter of Delta Waterfowl or by stopping by the Chapter?s booth at the Midwest Decoy Collectors Association (MCDA) show in St. Charles, Illinois on April 27th & 28th.
The drawing for the winning ticket will be held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the MCDA show. For details about Illinois Prairie go to www.illinoisprairie.org.
