These are not my photos and I don't know the guy who posted them, but he has a great photo site of the trips he has taken here in Alaska over the years.

Each spring I get the urge to drive to The End of The Road and check out the festivities. Homer has combined the boat show with the shore bird festival, and the kayak festival. Too much to deal with in one weekend. But some day I'll make it. Enjoy the photos, homer is the second album down.

Better be careful, too many pictures get out like that and you will be over run with flatlanders. What a place, and fresh halibut on a fire. I gota go clamming just so I don't get thinking I want to move up there.

The money he was making from NPR, books, and marketing Motel 6 (We'll keep the light on for you) allowed him to go to Vermont to hang with the displaced yuppy hippies. Or maybe he just missed cows and maple trees.
 
Unlike all the hippies that moved to Alaska from here in the early to mid 70's ??? Tom and I graduated HS together and were pretty good friends..I haven't seen him for a few years. His Mom and Dad moved away and he doesn't come home for class reunions very often..and they are 5 years apart! Wonder what he found in Vermont? He is one VERY smart dude....always has been.
