It was a pretty good May…

Actually, May was pretty great.

As for the duck hunting related part... I got to hunt my absolute favorite waterfowl species in the spring season over decoys on my favorite hunting grounds (and do it legally working under federal permits with wildlife management). What a blast to be out with the marshes renewing themselves and the birds in their finest plumage (and unplugged guns). I must have been a very good boy, it will take some time to top that day!

To make the month even better, I was also able to bring home a nice batch of turkies produced in my home state. Pics of the turkies are attached.

Life is good,

T

Hey, that one ain't a turkey. I know I've missed a few posts lately, did I miss an important one?

Tim

I shoulda knowed that you would catch me on that bird identification. As far as announcements go... this is as close as it is going to get.

You got a hen or a jake all wrapped up in there?

New baby and you still got time to get all those turkeys? You da man.

Pete

Thanks Pete,

I usually pass on jakes, this one was my first. I'm pretty proud of it as you can see in the picture.

I suspect this is one kid that will grow up with on the beach, in the mud, unafraid of snakes and bloodworms and unafraid to try something different. One that will not just know the names of the birds that he sees, and those of the trees that they are sitting in, but the relationship, and the wonder of same, between the two.......neat way to grow up for sure.....

Shoot me a note sometime about your "spring adventure".....I'd love to hear about it....

Best to Jen, the baby, that good looking pup.

Steve

I don't know... snakes give his dad the willies, I hope not to pass that on along with the other stuff.

I'll email you 'bout the spring thing.

Tod and Family,
great news. Hope you are getting a little sleep. I can tell your pup picked up right off on what was up. They just seem to know. Great picture. Can't wait to see some clamming pictures with the new one.

Tod,

I imagined the third picture would also be something being held up by it's feet. I was relieved to see him in your lap! Great looking kid....oh, nice looking lab too. Congrats to the family. Another hunter to the fold.

Take care,

Ed L.

Bob,

Good call on the clamming... if you can believe it, Gus already has his very own steamer rake curtesy of the Catizone clan.

Thanks for the well-wishes,

T

Ed,

You know, I thought about doing the baby held up by the feet shot to go along withthe others, but decided against it.

Thanks,

T

Thanks Jay, things are going well thus far... Jen is doing great, Gus is great and I'm chugging along.
