I'm looking for a set of desk plans that are supposed to be in that edition. If you have a copy and would be willing to hook me up with a photocopy, I'd be eternally grateful.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the offer to look for the magazine.

I just bought the plans online as a PDF so I don't need you to keep looking.

Thanks again.

you open yourself up to the potential of "identity theft" to a greater extent then just listing the State that you live in on a sign up page?

Sorry, (and if we had smiley faces I'd insert one of those doing the devilish smile---to which I would expect you'd respond with the one kicking the other one in the crotch in your reply), but the juxtaposition of this thread, and the other, was too tempting to pass up....

Hey Steve,

Good point.

You might be surprised to learn that secure internet transactions are much safer than a phone order or mail order.

I'd get into the technology behind it, but you probably care to know about as much about computers and the associated technology as I do about trailers and DOT regulations.

Insert smiley here. :-)

me that reading your credit card number over the phone to someone you don't know to pay for something that you likely just decided moments is a a good way to get ripped off saying that something is "more secure" than that doesn't instill me with a great sense of calm.....

Please recognize that at this point my posts as to "identity theft" have all gone past "intelligent exchange", (assuming there was ever any intelligence involved on my part to begin with), to just having some fun poking the old hornets nest......and that no disrepect is intended.....

Some guy, in some state, whose motto is get some "metallic substance" out.....

Thanks for letting me know. I was going to dig that issue out tonight. I'm pretty sure I do have it. I dropped that magazine though. In fact I've dropper every subscription I get expect for Fine Woodworking.

I am not much of a woordowrker, but the taunton publications see to be top shelf. I like to grab a copy of Fine Woodworking whenever I get a chance. Maybe once I actually build something useful, my wife will let me get a subscription... :-)
