Need computer (apple ipad 5th gen) help

Picked up a free ipad, was hoping to move duck pictures from the desktop computer onto the ipad and take the ipad out to the shop for carving and painting reference


Was hoping because their jpeg photos they would transfer over, however, I can't move/copy them.


Anybody got any ideas?

I ran into the same problem moving pics from PC to my iPhone. Gotta have ITunes installed on the PC if you are moving them from a PC to a Ipad.

Try emailing them to yourself.
Open emails on ipad and use save photo command.
This may work bypassing itunes or iphoto

Had the same issue.

Supposedly the new & old USB can't/won't talk to one another which in turn won't transfer any data.

I even had trouble downloading my Oder GPS units to my newer Apple desktop.

Upload them to your ITunes account, which will automatically convert them to Apples format & your done.

Either email them to yourself or use photobucket or iTunes.

If your IPad will pickup wireless out in the shop, just use a cloud service like googledrive, icloud, office365

As long as you have wifi you could download ES File Explorer for IOS to your Ipad and Filezilla which is an FTP software to your desktop. Both are free. You then would be able to get an IP address from your IPad that you would insert into a window in Filezilla and be able to copy anything from your desktop to your Ipad or from your Ipad to your desktop. Just like copying anything from folder to folder on you desktop. All over your wifi connection. Fast and secure. Search Youtube for instructions or I could walk you through it.
