New Shotkam on market

The new Shotkam camara(www.shotkam.com) for 2015 are just out. I am wondering if anyone on the forum has any experience with them? They are a little pricey!($695) They certainly will help with shooting leads and such but I would also like to start videoing my duck hunts.

Get a GoPro. Half as much and even cheaper if you step back to one of the "3" models. I'm not saying they're better, but the mounting options alone give you a lot of options and appear to be comperable in features.

The Shotkam is intriguing in that it has a much better field of view for seeing small targets in the 30 yard range than the GoPro, however is it 2-3x the cost better?

I use a multitude of GoPros to self flim and while it isn't a perfect system for waterfowl it does allow me to film without really inhibiting the actual hunt.

This video clip features three GoPros at once, all tied to one wifi remote that I keep on my call lanyard. One button press when birds start working to start/stop recording. The gun mounted GoPro Hero3 is set to Narrow FOV.

These have the same video capturing system used as well, for some examples.

You can see the remote on my call lanyard in this shot where the camera is reversed to look back at the shooter.

Also as a little soapbox rant... I see so many gun mounted videos where people are trying to capture everything, the dog retrieving, etc... which is great, but you're pointing the gun at your dog, buddies, etc. to shoot video! Not the best idea...
