OMC outboard question

Does anyone remember what year OMC went from a shear pin to a slip clutch in small tiller model outboards? Also I'm looking for a rifled slug barrel for an early 1980's Remington 1100. Any leads would be apprieciated.

Ed, Are you asking about your "new" 25 hp? If so the first year I find for a non shear pin motor is 78. I can check exactly if you give me the #s. off it.

This is how I remember the motor. This one is on ebay and this is it's serial number 25032A E0008466. Seems to me I remember dad upgraded to the 25hp in the late 60's or early 70's. I think he sold the boat in 1976. I don't have the boat yet. I'm waiting to find out what night I can pick it up. Nothing important just curious.
