Everyone, our chapter of Waterfowl USA is haveing a Waterfowl event and I'd like to see as may of you as possible. A great value and a great time. Aug. 11 starting at 9 am, We have Seminars on Duck and gosse calling and strategies by Field Hudnall, Craig Mcdonald, and George Lynch. $20 a person provides entrance, Lunch - a Pig roast and opportunity to bring stuff to sell or swap. No seperate fee for vendors bring a booth or a display, even a boat or two, for your 20 buck a person entrance fee. That looks like the Halfway Creek access. I've hunted in the back bay there a few times, but never done very good - probably need to scout more and get all the way out to the peninsula for some better action.

The event sounds like a good time and my son and I will likely attend. We may even drag one of our "extra" boats along to see if there is any interest.

That is indeed the west wind strand you spot. I've hunted there many times, but you have to get out up the cut or off th islands to do well. And of course watch the wind. When you get a chance let me know and I'll hook you up with the tickets.
