**POSTPONED SUNDAY ONLY! 41st Annual Tuckerton Decoy & Gunning Show September -24th

Goods morning, Anthony~

I'll be hauling the JAMES CAIRD down 2 weeks from today - YIKES! Lots of bits and pieces to fabricate and install before then.....

I will have my usual spot, I believe - joined by Paul Castelli. Paul is originally from Massapequa but lives south of Tuckerton. He was the NJ Waterfowl Biologist for many years - then jumped over the USFWS at Forsythe NWR.

I'm replacing these old floorboards today....I'll be re-purposing those nice bronze flathead screws.

And I am rehabbing a South Bay Spray Shield - NOT a Sanford XL Spray Shield - to put on her foredeck. I just glued the spacer blocks onto the spray shield's single thatch rail.

I cannot wait to watch that old Tuckerton video - but only when I can take a longer break.

See you soon,

SJS

I have not been in many years but hope to go for a few hours this year and see some duck hunting stuff!

I'm going to try and make it down. It's been a few years. Last time I spent Saturday night at the Bass River State forest camp ground. Only about 15 minutes away and definitely made for a nice weekend!

I'll be there. This will be my first time at Tuckerton. Not really sure what to expect but looking forward to it.

It was enjoyable. I think attendance was likely significantly down, for both attendees and vendors, due to the rain. Met some interesting people, saw some beautiful decoys, and it was certainly worth the trip.

Great old video on the show. No Sitka and those cameras were probably all old manual 35mm when you had to do way more than just point and shoot. Some of those decoys are probably worth a bundle now days.

I'm surprised that the show went off. I live about 50 miles west and with the rain we were getting I figured no one would be there. But as it is said, half of life is about showing up, and you did!
