Hey Eric,

This is James Davis. Just checkin' in with you. Good to see you in Huntsville recently. Great looking pups!

I'm checking out your site today for duck boat ideas. I am in the market to get something affordable ready for the upcoming duck season. I am open to suggestions.

Anyway, I'll give you a shout soon. By the way, if you are into fly fishing trout, we are slaying them on the Caney Fork this summer!

We definitely need to get together this season. I think the last time we hunted together was 1985. The same day our boat drifted away and Chip Howard found it floating down the river with us stranded on a sandbar. We hadn't been there 2 hours and were already talking about burning the blind to stay warm. When we do go this season please remember to pull your waders up after peeing. You must have taken in 20 gallons, at least. Those were great times. The kind of times I want my boys to have, well maybe not the part about being stranded.

If I hear of a good duckboat for sale in our area I'll be sure to let you know. Are you thinking something along the lines of a 16' jonboat?

Yea, 16' would probably work. I guess I'd like to get an idea about the minimal width and length requirements where one would feel stable standing up with a lab sitting next to him. (and by sitting I meant, that kind of excited half stand half sit thing they do that somehow still manages to rock the boat). Given my past experiences with water mishaps, I figured I should take the necessary precautions.
