Yes friends the Traveling Decoy Auction is upon us again and this year is no exception to the quality we've become accustomed to. "The Robber" is a high quality hand carved hollow cedar American Widgeon by Ira McCauley. After a season of hunting from coast to coast it shows a little character through a few spots of wear to paint, a couple of small flakes of loose paint (less than 1/8”x1/4”) on top of its head, and there are a couple of dings to the wood. Typical wear you would expect from a season of gunning. The bottom and keel has been signed by many duckboats.net hosts and members.

Also included in the auction is the log book that accompanied the decoy on its journey. It contains hand scribed accounts of "The Robber’s" journey, from coast to coast, Canada, and to the deep south.

Additionally, there is a very nice picture book. And when I say nice I mean NICE. This is a professional hard bound, full color, photographic journey of ‘The Robber’s’ hunts. It contains thirty five pages and over eighty pictures. Exceptional quality.

Funds raised from this auction provide duckboats.net the means to stay on the web and commercial free. The management of this site wishes to express their appreciation to those involved with this worthwhile project.

Bidding starts at of $50 and there is a minimum increment of $10. Bidding ends at the stroke of midnight, eastern, daylight savings time, as Thursday July 30 turns to Friday.

and dont forget, I am throwing in a cork hen widgeon to go with it on account of my temporary loss of the fleece bag (which I finally found cramed in the dark recesses of a decoy bag).

Tim,

Thank you for your support of this site. Could I ask one more small thing of you? Most of the regular members here have filled in their profile. It would be nice if you would take a couple minutes and do the same. That way we can all get to know one another a little better.

Once again, thanks.

How often do you find a decoy signed by Grayson Chesser...that wasn't carved by Grayson Chesser...

I have to say that the book is VERY nice. It is a great addition and very well put together!

I see my grandson's signature in that photo!

yeah, I intentionally didn't crop that as tight as I could...

He's also in 2 photos in the book...sorry Hitch, I had to limit you to 4 pages

Like Eric mentioned, 35 pages and over 80 photos...very limited edition!

Here's a peek within...one of my favorite pages, it's hard to narrow it down...

Not the greatest photo, as I was fighting glare off the glossy pages...and yes, I intentionally didn't crop this one as good as I could...

Wish you luck with this one, it's out of my price range but all I can say is....

It's only money, god willing you'll make more.
