I know a bunch (most) of us on here appreciate handcarved cork/wood decoys and hunt over 'em regularly. What are your favorites?? Post some pics!!!

Here's a shot of a part of my GE rig. Foggy morning in late November on the Mississippi River. There are decoys from 4 or so carvers and also Toledo Decoy(in the back). Included are Lee Harker, Mine, Yukon Mike, Mike Trudel, Marv Meyer. A fun and eerie day on the river.GEsinthefog.jpg

Great decoys! Here's a pic of my bbill rig, but I don't have the flyer anymore. There is a Lee Harker Ringer in there, a Mexican scaup from Grant in California, and a redhead from Mark Schupp. The two oversized "redheads" in the back row are common pochards, but I have yet to see any live ones around these parts.

Keep 'em coming. I wish Lou would show off his rig someday. That guy must have a barn full of handmade decoys.

I think we were on the river that same day........it was weird.....

It certainly was a weird day. We went a couple hundred yards to chase a cripple and had to find our set again with the GPS. It was amazing to see the GE's come in out of the fog. One of the best days we had on the river - bird wise.

I got lost as heck and couldn't find the spot I was after.......ended up not sure where. All I know is its wasn't where the ducks were wanting to be!!! LOL!!!

your site.....

Love round bottomed decoys, (not obvious in the photo of the Bluebill rig), and that Wigeon on your site is sweet.....

I'll be in touch....

Steve

Pete, Did you get that Marv Meyer right from him. I would love to get one of his Cans someday, I have my brother keep his eyes open at edgerton every year, but I suppose the Mpls show is where I need to get someone to go too. Should Have gotten one when I lived there.

While not all pictured here, My rig consists of decoys mostly by myself, but I have also have one or two from these following carvers Geoff Pike, George Williams, Mike Smyser, Dave "shady" Larsen, Tim Bombardier, Scott Myers, Jeff Coats, Bill Moore, Herb Daisey, Alan Eastman and one coming from Harold Duebbert. I try to buy or trade a couple a year from other contempories to add to my spread.

Fiberglass swimmer we made several years ago. I still have the molds and need to make some more. We put these on a 25' line, between sets of puddlers, and the bird moves and looks like it's swimming. Pretty cool.

Lou I do the same but with a diver. I hook up an ancher and pull line to pull the diver decoy under the water. Never fales. They come in thinking it is a good spot to feed. With three or four decoys like this you cant bat them away!
