Wood COver for DUck Boat storage

Hey everyone its been a while since I have been on here. I have need of some of the great minds here. I want to make a cover for my Mallard but I'm in need of some ideas or things not to do. the cover would be for storage... any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike. You mean a wooden hatch cover? Lay a piece of 1/4" plywood on it..trace your outside combing on it...allow for a 1xwhatever the combing height less a bit so the ply sits tight on your combing..fasten the 1x to the ply, cut,sand,epoxy and lightweight cloth and paint. You can afix hasps for padlocking or clips.
