Well here are a few photos of the progress. This is the original with the hard pad removed.
First Cuts and the New Pad
Some more trimming and glue to get enough wood to shape a parallel comb to keep the wack out of the recoil
Pad on and ready for some plane and sandpaper work. Can't be any harder than a decoy...I hope.
Length will be about 11 1/2 in, drop 1 3/8, 1 3/8. Pad top will be about 2 7/8 down from line of site and toe will be offset outward 1/4 in.
