    Lets see those turkeys!

Well no turkey for me this year, just didn't have much time this year for myself. Took the oldest boy out and unfortunately had 2 misses on turkey this year. First bird he just freaked out because they came out of no where and he forgot to take safety off. Once he realized the nerves were too...

    Grumman Sport Boat Update

Jeff the rivnut that Dave mentioned works great especially if you want it removable, we use them here on the planes at work. If you want something that is permanent then you could also use a Jo-bolt. It's a blind fastener that has a center stem going through the fastener. You put a wrench on...

Wild Rice - Duck Food Advice on flooded marsh pond

Griggs, I'm not far from you in Pasquotank county. If you want bulk seed you can get it from Meherrin. I actually have half a bag in my shop right now from them. The issue I have had is the muskrats eating the rice before it can do any growing. I've tried direct sowing, having it in mud filled...

A old duck hunters feeble attempt to post photos

Glad you're able to get back at it Vince, they look good. Did you pick up any birds from the decoy show you went to to add to your collection?

    Chincoteague Island area curiosity.

Unfortunately it seems this is the norm for those guides. They have their few repeat clients and aren't open to adding more unless the person is invited by the clients. Had a buddy who tried for years to go and finally gave up and then one day met an old man at the ramp and started talking and...

    NDR: Turkey Shells?

So Carl to answer your question with my full opinion and how I concluded such opinion. Years ago before the big manufacturing companies marketed TSS I learned about tungsten shot from nice shot and ballistic products and considered buying some to reload after researching it. Reading the...

    Intro & Persistence Pays Off

Gabe, you do a good job at making the pictures look tasteful to the eyes. Welcome to the site and congrats on finishing the season on a high note. Can't provide any help on the deck or motor but I'm sure someone might have some knowledge on it.

    NDR: Turkey Shells?

I would pick TSS too if money was not an object, just like I would choose the premium gas over regular. I definitely feel like for sure it's superior especially by closing the margin of error if someone was off their mark at long distance. From someone who chooses TSS over lead, why do you...

2022 NC plane crash investigation over.

The investigation is over from a plane crash that killed 4 high school duck hunters back in 2022 off the NC coast. Shame what happened since it appears the pilots negligence is the reason the plane crashed. Everyone stay safe out there...

    NDR: Turkey Shells?

I have never shot the TSS and have killed them with plain lead in .410, 20, 16, and 12 The 20 browning silver hunter with a primos tightwad using Winchester long beard, Remington, federal and Kent. Have never had an issue out to 40 yards. Never missed a turkey. I feel like the TSS might...

    Bluebills on Okeechobee

Seen more bluebills here on eastern NC than I ever have. Talked to some of the guides and they said bluebills were more abundant than bufflehead this year. First year I've never seen a ruddy duck but shot my first white wing scoter and boys shot some oldsquaws. Odd year indeed.
