Avery Killer Weed

Greetings,

Anyone have any tips for attaching the Avery Killer Weed to a layout blind (field blind)? I mistakenly thought that this stuff came in bundles, but it's all loose. I could do the zip tie/trial and error method, but maybe someone's got some slick ideas for attachment??

Thanks,

Jason

Jason,
I really like using baling twine to tie raffia type grass to a blind, it adds to the texture when it frays out. I am in the process of replacing the burlap/ twine blind on my Broadbill with a combination of cattail pattern Denier cordura/ fishnet and twine tied on Prairie grass from Cabelas. I found last year that the raffia is like a sponge so be careful about it when it gets wet. I was unpleasantly surprised with the weight wet. Good Luck.

I just grabbed a few strands of the all terrain variety and tied them in a square knot around the loops. You can go the zip tie route, but you really don't need to. They will fall out over time. Just thatch it up with grass from the marsh or wherever you are hunting.

Nate
