Haven't tried Qonnie all year, so attempted to launch there today; I know a lot of Ct hunters go there tomorrow as its the last day and they can't hunt in Ct on Sundays! You can't launch any boat there except for a canoe or light boat as there is a construction project going on there and they have put boulders in the launch ramp and blocked off nearby shoreline beach that would be ok for a small trailerable boat.
This should not be happening during the open duck season, especially with out any notice to hunters!
Who ever oked this being done should be seriously reprimanded. Unless he/she is an anti hunter; then I would recommend a more severe punishment! This sort of idiocy has happened before in R.I. A few, maybe 5 or 6 years ago the same thing was done at the main ramp in Pt Judith. They could have easily left a ramp open til the end of duck season there also.
