I so enjoy hunting honkers in the snow. A bunch around. Amazing how many mallards and homkers we saw. Fun day!

Wow, you guys really cleaned up. My favorite wild game is goose.

We used to have a part ownership in a farm that was on the Klamath river over near the Town of Keno. They had riverfront and a canal and a couple of farm fields that they'd grow corn and I think beans. In the winter, they'd flood the bean field and leave the corn field mostly cut.

We had some blinds in the corn field that were like garbage dumpsters sunk to their rim in the dirt..

The best part of the deal, is that there was a working gravel pit on the farm, so it actually made the members a bit of money.

Dad sold his interest in it after me and my brother grew up and left the nest. I wish he'd of kept it. Have you ever smokked the goose? It is so good that. way. Great photos.
