Just got back from the optometrist where they were able to save my eyeglasses. One lens had popped out from the twisted frame and the frame was in really bad shape. I was totally amazed that the titanium frames could be bent back into shape.
On my way home I swung by a friends house. My friend had 3-D printed a small item to my design. This item is needed, to bring a hunting accessory I use, into compliance with the regulations for public land. The hunting accessory is an umbrella designed to fit snugly up against a tree. In the past, I've used it both in a tree stand for deer and also while seated against a tree for turkey. It works great except,,,,,,,,,,,,, a part of it can no longer be used when on public land.
You see the support rod was/is designed to screw directly into the tree. That is no longer and has not been legal to do, for many years now. No screws, nails, spikes, etc into trees on public land. Result is, the umbrellas, handy as they are, have been sitting unused for many years. No longer is that true.
Now I have a custom support block which adapts the design to be strapped onto a tree. Woohoo, back in business.
