Maiden voyage today

If the weather cooperates, the latest addition will be launched later this morning.

This Lund Ducker was purchased from a youth Minister way up north. He would take in donated hunting gear and then sell it to fund his disadvantaged youth hunting camps.

He had two Duckers. Drove 5 hours to pick one up and he sold it to someone else. The one he had left was in tough shape. Pretty dented, bolts missing, bad paint, loose rivets, rotted wood transom and seat and so on. Went to work on it over the winter and just finished spraying it a week back or so. I think it turned out OK.

Mud motor is a Harbor Freight Predator 212 with a longtail kit added to it. Also added an electric start as on windy days this will be so much easier to use than pull starting it.

Should this rig work as envisioned, the outfitting begins next. Lights, switch panel, interior power, seats, stabilizers, oars, blind and so on. Then will have to sell the boat I've been using for many many seasons.

Will post voyage results later if the weather cooperates.

I agree with Rod. Looks good as new. Best of luck with her. Sure wish Lund still made them, one for the fleet would be nice.
