NDR I've been fishing

Great morning spent on one of my local rivers. The water is high but dropping. The high water, plus winds undercut the roots and put this big Maple tree into the water. The twisted off top half of the tree ended up 2 miles downstream, crossways in the middle of the channel. That's going to get somebody's attention, at O-darkthirty some morning, if they are not watching.
It occurred to me as I was cleaning my two Walleyes;
(a) they were caught on a hand poured, hand painted, hand tied hair jig, that I made myself
(b) the rod I was using, is a hand built custom rod, which I made myself
(c) the knife I used to clean the fish, is a built from scratch, hand made knife, which I made myself.

That's awesome! I miss the taste of fresh walleyes.

Do you have any pics of your handmade fishing rod and lures?

Nothing real fancy. I prefer a subdued build especially for a rod which may be used on small streams.
A couple rods;
All the cork was turned from raw stock and I inserted two Walnut inlays into the center section.

A few jigs, The white with gold tinsel in a 1/16 ounce size, has been my most productive. Maybe because I use it the most? :)

This mornings result using that jig and rod. 😁

These are all made with a bandsaw salvage and gunstock material.
