Does anyone know any people who make model duck boats? Thanks.
That looks pretty big for a model.
It's small but built to scale. Not sure the dimensions. He's got incredible talent. That looks pretty big for a model.
Many years ago my Dad taught me decoy making. Along the way I also started making mode sneakboxes and garveys. The sneakboxes I pattern from my boats built by Carl Adams, my Great Grandfather, the garveys off of photos / dimensions I'm provided with.View attachment 56020View attachment 56021View attachment 56023The 10’ garveys we has only had about a 12” wide front flat. The builder pulled into a bit of flair to deflect spray. They were stable great little boats.
Where would I find the material? I do not use Facebook.Beautiful boats! Capt Lindsay I sent you a DM, I also put the word out to our local decoy club members about builders. We hosted our first annual "Model Duck Boat" Exhibit this past March it was a huge hit! Currently we have had over 98,900 plays of the video on our Instagram @LiDecoyCollectors I encourage you to check out some of the media from that show!
The top one looks like a Fred Reitmeyer (my Dad) to me. The first ones he taught me were a solid hull like that appears to be. Are there two runners and a skeg on the bottom? Bottom model is sharp too!I have two sneakbox models - I dont know who made them but I like them....View attachment 56033View attachment 56034
