ISO: McCormick Decoys

The challenge is finding actual McCormick decoys! He was so generous with his time and talents that there are so many decoys that are obvious McCormick style, but made by every LI duck hunter of the time! I have a few with his signature, but some that are not signed and may or may not be his.

Yea, I heard that his birds almost never had glass eyes and had blockier tail inserts so they didn’t get as beat up. I’m sure more than a few others made theirs the same

Jayden, check Ebay most times they are posted without people even knowing what / who carved them. I'll pass this along to our Decoy Club at: Lidecoycollectors.com

I have a bunch of McCormick decoys my father and I collect them. We have black ducks, mallards, brant, broadbill, bufflehead and geese. Most of them stamped with his signature “Mr. Decoy” stamp. Unfortunately they’re not for sale, but if you find any that you think might be one feel free to message me. Watch eBay and Facebook marketplace like a hawk! I just grabbed a drake mallard from someone who had no idea what it was for $20 lol
