Two ducker catamaran

I love my duckers, but paddling them is growing a little old and I would like to perhaps venture a little farther. Not wanting to sell them off yet also not wanting to invest in a bigger boat if one or both of my young sons decide to join me.

Playing around with the idea of utilizing the two push pole holes on each boat as a quick and non permanent way of lashing together two duckers and then also being able to attach a small mud motor or outboard to the "frame" in between the two duckers. Picture is attached purely for outlandish reference.

Any thoughts from the boat brains on staff here?

Humm, an interesting project. Each hull has keel, right, folded or welded standing seam down the centerline? I would think it would track decent. An interesting project for sure. I can envision a collapsable frame that clamped them together, maintaining each hull parallel to each other. Maybe add a pair of turnbuckles to really tune it.

Here's an interesting idea, just get one of these, add some Blind Grass, a few mods for gun rack and decoy storage. Fast and great in shallow water. ;)

We never got around to building it, but my friend and I wanted to use an old Hobie-cat frame and pontoons, mounted with layout blinds similar to this. I think you must build it!

I have a double ended marsh boat that hat I put a homemade mud motor on. It is similar to a ducker. I have pictures of a few different ideas if you are interested. One way would work. Ice if you venture out in a single ducker and can then be transferred to a double ducker.
