If any of you guys (and Dani) are going out there in the next 36 hrs, be really careful. You'll likely experience epic hunting adventure and lots of birds with this system, it is going to push a ton of Widgeon down from Alberta and BC.

Be safe, but watch your arse's because it is going to get rocking pretty good.

Ah Hell, looks like it is stopping short... carry on
Hunted yesterday and today in your old hunting grounds Todd. It was wild and wooly. You'd be surprised by the lack of other hunters despite the weather. I haven't heard a shot in the last 4 or 5 trips. Granted that the last 2 days were blowing a gale and rain. Lost power last night for 3 hours so its been the real deal.

I am also curious how you did Brad. I heard a report that the birds left town during the storm. I was traveling in the Seattle area the past 2 days and wanted to be out on the river! 500,000 people without power on wed morning. Stayed in a hotel with no power Tuesday night...

Neal and Brad

We cut the first day short due to the increasing winds against and incoming tide. Very reminiscent of a boat ride you'll remember Brad when the fuel line got pinched By an anchor and stalled the engine.

The second day was wet and windy but we got our scaup again in the first spot I think I ever took you Brad. You took a few great pictures of a young Kip there. Funny thing was the ride back to the dock, after a day of torrential rain and windy, I pulled out when I heard thunder, only to have the ride back in sunshine and mirror smooth water. It started raining again as we touched the dock.

The third day was much drier and calm. We shot our birds in sunshine and a gentle breeze.

That storm was something. It pushed all the birds off Samish and Padilla Bays in NW Washington and into the fields. It was wild the amount of birds we had inland and made for some fun shooting. I hunted that entire week as we had wind everyday and lot of birds.
