November Workbench

Do you always build miniatures? My "father in law" is a miniature builder. Builds houses, tools, nick nacks of every kind. Has his own business and has a 40x40 storage area with just bins of all these things he sells that are all miniatures of whatever. Dressers, beds.... i mean you name it, hes made it seems. Just wondering if you build other miniature things or just tools. It is a fascinating hobby to me. Takes real precision to make really good miniature objects, especially tools. That wrench is adjustable wrench is really something
I'm drawn to making miniature stuff, not sure why. Maybe because I am short lol.

Even as a kid I preferred the 1/64 scale tractors and toys compared to the 1/16 models so just always seem to like that smaller things. A lot of the ducks and stuff I carve are miniature, mostly smaller than 4 inches.

I think it is more enjoyable than life size since it takes less time and is not something a lot of other people do.

It is certainly an art. Not a chance I could accomplish anything like this with my big clumsy self. Sometimes the FIL will send a random pic of something, I will think it is full size and the he sends me a pic standing 5 feet away and then I realize just how small the object is that he is sending me. Again, a very cool hobby, and you sir.... You do it very well!
