    Double/Single Man Duck Sculls

What does this weigh? I just am trying to wrap my head on where I would use such a cool boat. I read all of this type up and I smiled, quite a few times actually. I am 45 years behind you in age. But I attribute a lot of my success to just talking with old timers who have done it so much...

    Restle coated Tundra Swans

If it aint broke.... dont fix it. I am only asking because I am starting the restle coat journey. Since you did carved foam, I was curious on your materials used. Everything is pricey anymore. Making decoys certainly doesnt save you money, but it saves you money on true quality decoys. I do not...

    Restle coated Tundra Swans

What did you use as the binder for the walnut shell? Titebond3? These are fantastic and I am super impressed. I only ask because I am seriously contemplating a carve next summer. I just dont know if I have the grit in my bones to get after a true custom carve. You sir.... you are well on your way!

    Restle coated Tundra Swans

How hard was this carving foam? How much carving experience have you done in the past? Did you burlap and then restle coat or did you restle coat right to the pink foam? These look spectacular by the way! Helluva job. One has told me before, the foam carving is harder than wood carving. Don...

Eric, this is not new technology. Thailand is known for their long tails. The CEO of mudbuddy went to Thailand years and years ago and realized there was a market for long tails for duck hunters. He created mudbuddy. how they landed on briggs being the motor of motors is what kills me. We talk...

So I did a thing ….. not sure if I’ll like it lol

So I havent watched it all but what caught my attention right away was from 1:35- 2:20. Look at the low end torque that this motor offers. They bury the prop in vegetation or mud, and hit the throttle and there is enough umph there to twist that prop and push the hull forward. I have the biggest...

Nope.... I missed that experiment all together. Im usually pretty good about keeping up with stuff like this too. Never even heard of this. Enlighten me. But we all know the mudmotor design came from Thailand. And all I can say is if they can come up with this.... Why cant we make one that goes...

ANOTHER FREEZER GOING BAD CASE!!!! Not even my birds and I hurt for you! Thats just terrible! Hooded is super cool. I get a few every year, I finally just pulled the trigger on sending one to the taxi. I kind of already want another one facing this one but head turned toward the viewer...

keep us updated on what your results are with this boat. i think you might be pleasantly surprised as long as you are not trying to achieve speed. You will likely be about 10 mph slower, if I was a betting man, but Ive been wrong in the past and now I am curious on what you get on this set up...

So I did a thing ….. not sure if I’ll like it lol

I mean I wouldnt think so because I saw how soft we hit that rock on that 115 and it knocked that whole lower out of commission. But watch those videos I posted.... they are beating the living snot out of these motors. I came across some comments of the 60 hp motors only going like 31-34 and I...

So I did a thing ….. not sure if I’ll like it lol

I knew about freedom outboard when they were just a concept still. They had major issues trying to figure out the radiator situation. I kind of forgot about them. But believe it or not, they have been around almost a decade now. Haven't really taken the market by storm. I havent watched the...

So I did a thing ….. not sure if I’ll like it lol

We were originally going to do a 90, but the 115 and 90 are the exact same weight. No transom issues, despite being a little over hp rating. And no one said its WOT or nothing, although mercurys like to be run hot. The closer you have a mercury to the rev limiter, usually the happier they are...

    Working decoy November

Been a good November thus far. Rained all morning on us. Birds didn’t quite want to play where we set, but we got after a few. Could have been done in 10 min if we shot wigeon and gadwall and divers. But I’m just a little too picky and try and target my mallard and pintail. Told the young man I...
