    Frozen to the trailer!

Exactly I misunderstod your reply. I thought you were not aware how slick they are. I'd hate to see a duck boat crash down on a ramp. I do the same as you. Thanks Mike!

    Frozen to the trailer!

I used to undo the chain and winch strap, then back down to the water. If I do that now, the boat will come off the trailer and land on the ramp before I have a chance to back the truck up. They are that slick!

    Frozen to the trailer!

Yes Yes Yes Very important. Your boat will shoot off your trailer and land on the ramp. Like Tony said. Leave the bow strap on until your boat is in the water, or you are ready for the boat to slide off the trailer to the water.

Adjustable jack plate for my Duck Invader with a 20hp

On my Estuary there was a piece of 1?1 wood at the top of my transom similar to this. I never thought about it until I took off the motor when I got my new boat.

Adjustable jack plate for my Duck Invader with a 20hp

As I typed my last reply, I had to stop to take Alieve for my elbow that's hurting. Ha ha. Now I'm just thinking of mounting my motor up a few inches and calling it good.

Adjustable jack plate for my Duck Invader with a 20hp

So I was talking with Nick Zito yesterday, and he is trying to make me spend more money! We were talking about navigating in shallow water, and it would be nice to motor in, instead of poling or walking the boat in. Does anyone have any ideas about using an adjustable jack plate. I saw some...

    Frozen to the trailer!

I put these on at the boat ramp after a hunt. They went on easy, I think it was 5 or 6 screws in each. They were counter sunk in small pre made slotted holes.

    Frozen to the trailer!

I put these on so my boat would come off the trailer easier in those low water or "flat" boat ramps. Let me tell you, it shoots off like a rocket. These might help with your problem too.

Is that 1 gallon tank home made? Looks handy, I like it

    Starting outboard in extreme cold

This might not be practical for you with your 40, but with my 20, I'm using store bought ethanol free gas. The Husqvarna almost 5 gallon can lasted me all season. I bought the VP real 5 gallon can to top of my 3 gallon tank to get me out for geese. Since ethanol free gas isn't available at the...

    A great season

Forget it, lol. I see it all the time at my club. As soon as the kids "get it" their eyes and reflexes are sharper than ours. You can still practice and stay respectable. I saw you guys out there once, I know you guys had a good time, I was duck repellent and directed all the birds to you...

    Season recap...

The new boat worked out excellent for me. I am able to hide it in the marsh almost as good as the Estuary, but my seating position in the DI works out better for me. I'm able to position the boat against the bank and hunt off the side. It just works great for me. Covid tried to ruin my season...

    Thanks to Steven Sanford

Ken, My duck hunting buddy with the DW boat who is not on this site or internet savvy found Steve's site some how and also used his paint recommendation on some of our spread. The colors are spot on. Previously he has "missed" on picking the right colors. Steve is helping more people than...

    Overseas Outboard Dealers

I was researching outboards online also. Then I went to a local marina and talked with them about ordering an outboard from them. I lucked out, and bought a nice 2018 from a buddy when he heard I was looking. From what I understand, the overseas motors were not intended to be sold in the...
